"RICHMOND'S BEST EXPERIENCES"

Whether you are planning a corporate event or a unique date night, Richmond has a wide variety of options. But if you don't know what you are looking for, or you just want something new, how do you find them all? Our March speaker has an answer for that.

Nate Marcus, the founder of OccasionGenius.com,  a website for finding venues and ideas for team training, bachelor parties, birthday parties and more. The  site is currently live in Richmond and Charlotte with plans to expand nationally.

Nate will tell us about his business AND about some of the fun things you can do in Richmond, A recent visit to the site provided over 100 opportunities in the category of "Group Fun" including ziplining, skydiving, cooking classes, escape houses and even glow-in-the-dark yoga and twerking classes.

Nate was teaching Iron Chef Corporate Challenges when he saw the rapid growth of the market for "experience" oriented events and venues for both corporate training/team building and entertainment. When he could not find a directory that focused on this market, he launched a site called PartyRVA, which won the Chamber of Commerce's award for "Best Regional Startup 2015". After launching and testing the concept with PartyRVA, Nate raised a 6-figure round to rebrand to OccasionGenius and he is on his way to become the place to find "epic" things to do.
