Dennis Bickmeier became the third President of Richmond Raceway, a 1,100-acre motorsports and multi-purpose entertainment facility in 2011. Dennis joined International Speedway Corporation (ISC), in 1999, and was a VP of Michigan International Speedway prior to coming to Richmond. ISC is a public company that owns more than a dozen NASCAR tracks. The company is led by members of NASCAR's first family, the France's. 

Over his 27-year sports management career, Dennis has worked for some of the top sports organizations in the country, including the the Los Angeles Angels,  the Big West Conference and the Los Angeles Rams.

At our September breakfast, Dennis will tell us about "Richmond Raceway Reimagined", the future of Richmond Raceway and its complex of businesses and facilities.  

The company recently announced plans for a $30 million improvement project at the track, and plans are also underway to revive the 6,000 seat Classic Amphitheater. ISC has made major improvements in several of its other tracks in recent years, and local civic and business leaders hope the new focus will lead to the raceway complex becoming the center of a major entertainment center in Henrico.

The raceway annually hosts two of NASCAR’s largest racing events.  Overall, the facility and its full-time staff of 37 team members execute over 200 days of activity, including operation of a 6,000-seat music amphitheater and over 500,000 square feet of consumer trade show and meeting space.
