Our September breakfast will feature B.K. Fulton, a great example of an encorepreneur. B.K. is a former president of a $3.5 billion company who is now a movie producer, angel investor, writer of adult and children’s books, and app developer. B.K.'s talk will be moderated by Nancy Eberhardt.  

Since 2017, our speaker's company, Soulidifly Productions, has released eight feature-length films. Soulidifly’s productions have appeared on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO, Apple TV and Starz, among others. The company is working with the Oscar-winning animation studio Lion Forge Animation on a children’s series based on the Mr. Business books written by BK.  

BK’s experience and interests have been diverse throughout his career. He held senior leadership roles in governmental, non-profit, and technology organizations focusing on technology and policy development. He was Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Region for Verizon Communications, a Fortune 100 company, and served as president of Verizon Virginia ($3.5B in revenue). In 2016, B.K. led a team of developers that invented EZ Reader, the world’s first ophthalmologist approved digital reading glasses app.

BK has served on the boards of Norfolk State University, Bon Secours Health Systems, Towne Bank, the Library of Virginia Foundation, Media Mentors, and The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation as well as numerous civic, social and business entities. He is a Sloan Fellow and Computerworld Smithsonian Awards International Technology Laureates Medal recipient.

Fulton is married to Jacquelyn E. Stone, the first female African American Partner of a major Virginia firm, McGuireWoods, LLC. Jackie and BK are co-parents to three young men – Joshua, Terrell, and Sam.
