Stan Maupin ADJUSTING YOUR FOCUS
Register Here
At our December Encorepreneur breakfast, Stan is going to tell the story of how he finally figured out what he wanted to do when he grew up. He hopes to inspire you to ask that question for yourself, and more importantly, help you adjust your focus to find the right answer for you.
Stan's career focused on the creation and growth of emerging businesses with a focus on technology. Today he is spending most of his time on 2 side hustles - the Encorepreneur breakfast series and a small but award-winning photography "habit". His story will include highlights from both.
Stan began his career in the systems consulting divisions of national consulting firms. After escaping the world of flow-charts and Cobol, he began his career as an entrepreneur. Over the next three decades, he was a co-founder of 3 companies with multi-million-dollar annual sales in 3 different industries and consulted with scores of other start-ups and early-stage businesses. Along the way, he held senior positions in multiple political campaigns for governor, senator, and the House for both parties. In his spare time, he co-founded two of Richmond's largest non-profits that support business and entrepreneurship, and he served on the boards of several local non-profit organizations. He received the Leadership Award from RichTech (Richmond's technology trade group) and was named one of the Top 25 Entrepreneurs of the last 25 Years by the Richmond Venture Forum.
Stan grew up in Albemarle County where he learned at an early age that farming was not his future. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in American Government, and an MBA from the Darden School, and lives in Midlothian near Ava Grace, Kye and Tess.
